The Coconut Grove Arts Festival and its companion, the St. Stephen’s Art Show and Makersfest, will roar into Center Grove for three days during President’s Day weekend, Sat., Feb. 18 to Mon., Feb. 20. The art shows will roar in, but the motor vehicle traffic will have to roar somewhere else. Pan American Dr., South Bayshore Dr. from Pan American to McFarlane., and all of McFarlane Rd. will be closed from Friday through late Monday.

The Arts Festival charges a $25 admission fee, but it’s $15 for Coconut Grove residents who bring ID showing they live in the 33133 Zip code. The St. Stephen’s event is free.

Considered by some to be the epicenter of the South Florida art world, at least during this time of the year, the two events will attract an estimated 80,000 people to Coconut Grove. The combined events will feature the work of more than 300 artists. Both will emphasize the role of children as makers and consumers of art. A wide variety of food and music will be available, and both events will continue throughout the day.
